Bruce  was voted one of two ‘Private Mandolin Instructors of the Year’

in 2003 by the Internet Mandolin discussion list ‘Comando.’

  Graybill has a rich history of workshops at the National Flatpick Championships (Walnut Valley Festival a.k.a. Winfield), in both the pre-festival private workshops and the ‘on stage’ workshop during the festival. His easy going style stays flexible with the needs of the particular crowd. Well versed in Mandolin history and in many styles of Mandolin playing, he involves the audience at every opportunity. The key to a good workshop is getting the group to participate and there-in lies Graybill’s talent. Festival workshops are a great activity for all ages, and they compliment a family friendly festival well!

    Bruce has also provided many workshops at Classical Mandolin Society of America annual conventions.

His workshops in this venue have ranged from Advanced Technique, to Bluegrass, Swing and

Jazz Improvisation, and even a Composer’s Workshop.

 Music stores are a great venue for workshops, and Graybill has done many in conjunction with his endorsement company, Weber Mandolins. Bruce’s playing can be found on instrument model videos all over the Weber website! Multiple successful workshops have been hosted at Mountain Music Shoppe in Shawnee, KS., Bentley’s Guitars in Parkville, MO., Wyatt Violin Shop in Independence, MO., City Music in St. Louis, MO., and Young America Music School in Macon, GA. Workshops can compliment Weber sales, or to help launch a new Weber Mandolins dealer. However, there is no requirement a music store be a dealer to arrange a workshop!
